JOE THORNTON FOR MVP!
Ah, spring, that must mean it's PLAYOFF TIME!
My boys Los Tiburones (The Sharks to all you gringoes out there) are in the thick of it.
Last night they locked it up, while eliminating the Vancouver Canucks.
To Vancouver, I say, good try. To Todd (The Thug) Bertuzzi, I say, THHHHPPP!!! LOSER!!!
Ahem. Where was I?
Oh yes.
My Sharkies had a horrible start to the season after being a contender in the previously played season.
Goalies were playing horribly, offense couldn't score points, it was wretched.
A lot of fans were upset that GM Doug Wilson hadn't made any big moves in free agency, including me.
So Doug pulled the trigger and sent Marco Sturm, Brad Stuart and another player to Boston, in trade for Joe Thornton.
Now I cheer for both teams, being that were were no Sharks until 91.
Thornton had honestly been a disappointment.
He had shown flashes of brilliance, but his playoff chokes were legendary.
I wasn't sure what he would do with a new team.
That lasted about two minutes.
He lit up the board right off the bat.
He made every player on the ice better.
He turned Jonathon Cheechoo into a superb scorer.
Cheech had 28 last year, this year, he can knocked off 56, shattering the Sharks record, and winning the Richard Trophy in the process.
Wow.
Thornton himself put some in, and assisted on tons of others, and eliminated the opposing team being able to focus solely on Patrick Marleau, which only made Patty a better player all around.
He's won the Art Ross Trophy now.
He's made every player in teal better in every way.
Is there honestly a player that has been MORE VALUABLE to his team??
Nope.
I submit that there is no other choice for the Hart Trophy.
JOE FOR MVP!!!
If they give it to Jagr, it'll be a travesty.

Could not agree more.
Now Ekman has game again!!!!
Good time to be a Sharks fan.
My habbies are pretty much gauranteed at this point as well.
Best of luck to the Sharkies - may the best men win!
